Iris L. Wong

Associate

Iris Wong is an associate of the firm and focuses her practice on education law.  As a member of PPSV’s education practice group, she represents institutions of higher learning in audit and program review proceedings before the US Department of Education and in transactions regulated by the Department.  Ms. Wong also advises educational institutions regarding compliance with state and federal standards and accreditation.  She monitors legislative, regulatory, interpretive guidance, and other developments on a variety of federal education matters.  

Ms. Wong graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2005. During law school, she served as Articles Editor of the Virginia Tax Review and Development Editor of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology.  Ms. Wong received a BS degree in Commerce with a concentration in Finance from UVA's McIntire School of Commerce in 2002.

During law school, Ms. Wong was a Law Clerk at Sallie Mae/SLM Corporation which provides federally guaranteed student loans under the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) and offers help with the financial aid process to students, parents and guidance professionals.

Ms. Wong is a member of the Maryland bar and the District of Columbia bar.
