Christina A. Hughes

Associate

Christina A. Hughes is an associate of the firm.  Ms. Hughes’s practice focuses on assisting healthcare organizations in complying with the federal Medicare and Medicaid programs, including issues related to reimbursement, fraud and abuse and various business transactions.  She also participates with the firm’s disability and orthotics and prosthetics practices.

Ms. Hughes graduated magna cum laude with honors from John Carroll University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctor and Masters of Public Health from the George Washington University in 2006. 

While in law school, Ms. Hughes was employed with the Office of Counsel to the Inspector General for the Department of Health and Human Services and served as a legal intern with the Civil Fraud section of the US Department of Justice.  She also worked as a Health Policy Fellow with the National Academy for State Health Policy on issues such as Medicaid reform. 

Ms. Hughes is a member of the Ohio bar and the District of Columbia bar.  She is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association – Health Law section.
