

Joel M. Hamme joined Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville in January 1998. His practice focuses on long term care (nursing homes, rehabilitation and long term care hospitals, home health, intermediate care facilities for the mentally retarded, and assisted living), Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues, provider licensure and certification matters, and litigation in these areas.
Mr. Hamme holds a JD from the University of Pennsylvania (1973) and a BA from Dickinson College (magna cum laude, 1970). He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and is a member of the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania bars as well as the bars of the Supreme Court of the United States and numerous federal appeals courts.
Mr. Hamme has authored numerous articles and book chapters, is a frequent speaker and lecturer on health care issues, and has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers for his work in healthcare law.
