

Jim Jorling is a principal in the firm and a member of its health care practice group. He advises health care organizations on a range of matters including corporate, tax, tax exemption, fraud and abuse, self-referral, reimbursement, privacy, security and administrative simplification, managed care (Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, Medicaid, FEHBP, commercial), ERISA, antitrust, government contracts, and other legal matters. He has advised provider networks (PHOs, IPAs), health insurance plans and administrators, including TPA and PBM organizations, on federal and state regulatory matters. He has represented a number of disease management organizations on legal and legislative matters. He has represented providers on Medicare and Medicaid compliance and reimbursement matters including hospitals, physicians and IOTFs.
Mr. Jorling served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. He was a Health Policy Assistant for the Presidential Transition Office and the Health Care Advisory Group for the Clinton-Gore Campaign. He was a partner at Gardner Carton & Douglas prior to joining Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville, PC in April 2004. He is admitted to the Bar in Ohio and the District of Columbia.
