Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville PC is pleased to note that seven partners have been recognized for outstanding service in 2006:

Joel Hamme is the President-Elect Designate of the American Health Lawyers Association and will serve as the organization’s president from July 2008 – June 2009. He has long been active in the leadership of AHLA, serving as a Board Member and previously as Secretary, a member of the Executive Committee and chair of the Practice Groups Committee.

Galen Powers, Diane Millman and Joel Hamme are included in the 2007 edition of Woodward/White’s Best Lawyers in America  for Health Law.  Once again, no other Washington law firm, regardless of size, is home to more of the Best Lawyers in America for Health Law than PPSV.

Mark Fitzgerald, Mary Susan Philp and Robert Saner were selected for Chambers & Partners USA 2006—America’s Leading Business Lawyers.  Chambers’ rankings are based on reputation in the market, technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, diligence, and commitment.

John Kemp holds the 2006 Henry B. Betts award, the most prestigious award within the national disability community.  The award was created to annually honor an individual whose work and scope of influence have significantly improved the quality of life for people with disabilities. It is named for Henry B. Betts, MD, a pioneer in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.
