Industry: Trade Associations/Professional Societies

PPSV has significant experience in the representation of numerous trade and professional associations, such as physician and medical specialty and professional societies, hospital and health system trade associations, health insurance associations and organizations comprised of vendors and providers of health information technology.  Our representation of trade and professional organizations is enhanced due to our relationships with key government, industry and public policy advocacy groups.

The firm represents trade associations and professional organizations on matters related to health policy and Medicare reimbursement before the US Congress, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Health Resources and Services Administration, the National Institutes of Health, and other government agencies.  This includes lobbying and legislative work before the relevant committees in Congress, as well as participation in federal agency rulemaking and policy development.  In addition, we have broad experience handling trade association legal issues such as antitrust, tax, and employment matters.  

Our attorneys work with professional and trade organizations concerning advocacy strategies and frequently offer entrée to federal agencies for positioning and discussion of issues.
